I had the exact same tinfoil hat kind of conspiracy but I have given up on this plot. Reason being is I'm at a semi hardcore guild and classic wow gold at this stage in classic it's very hard to discover new people coming raiders so when a few unguided 60's want in for a trial ridden place we are forced to try them out.
But why would they willingly get rid of 1/5 of their player population when they could continue to make millions off of people abusing their imaginary currency for real money. From a PR perspective it's the biggest shit-filled slap in the face to the player base, from an economic perspective it is the simplest money they'll ever make.
Amen. Looking forward to starting new mainly to buy gold classic wow acquire an economy which is not f'ed up. Please put some actual effort into it Blizz. And start banning RMTers.
If you would like this kind of environment, pservers are the only area you'll find it. You definitely won't get it from blizzard. If you or anyone else wants information on a new vanilla pserver with proven and trustworthy management launch in the near-moderate near future, pm me.
All you could hope for at this stage is an enjoyable launching and grind to 60, subsequently deleted your character and proceed.Yes, lets start banning rmt. Byebye 50% or more of the playerbase. I really could get people banned with a easy microtransaction with a single click. Nothing they can do to rmt.
If a one or two-week ban for it is enough for those players to quit, then clearly they're so hooked on RMT they're never gonna play without it anyways. Good riddance.
